Hanumant Krishak Farmer Producer Company Limited is based here in Gauratikari Karaundi Kala. You can find us at Rajendra Prasad Singh’s house. We are a small group of farmers from this village. Most of us have lived here our whole lives and we know the land better than anything else. We handle everything from planting the seeds to selling the harvest at the end of the season. It is a hard life but it is what we were raised to do. We do not have fancy offices or websites. We just have our fields and our own hands to work with. We meet up a lot to talk about the cost of fertilizer or the new rules from the government. Usually, it is just us sitting around with some tea, but it helps us keep things organized. When something goes wrong, like a tractor breaking down, we all chip in to fix it. We don't use marketing talk or big words. We just say things as they are. If the crop is bad, we deal with it. If the prices are low, we wait. We are just trying to make a living for our families. There is always another season to prepare for, so we stay busy all year round. Gauratikari is a quiet place and we like to keep our business simple and honest. We do not need much else as long as the ground stays fertile.
