It is a quiet place in Uttar Pradesh where most everyone is involved in agriculture in some way. We got this company started because we wanted a way for the local farmers to have a collective voice. It’s not a corporate thing. It is just Sumit and the rest of us here in the 233231 area. We meet up when we can to discuss the season and what we are going to plant. Sometimes we meet at the house in Mirzabad Adai. It’s practical. We don't have a lot of money for fancy things, so we just use what we have. Farming in Ghazipur has its own set of challenges, from the rain to the market prices. By being a Farmer Producer Company, it makes us feel a bit more connected to each other. It is a lot of work to keep the registrations and the books in order, but Sumit Rai handles a lot of that side of things. We are just regular people from the village.
