Down here in Bulandshahr, we started Choundhera Farmers Producer Companylimited to help each other out. Our main office is really just Gaili Singh’s house in Chaudhera. It’s a quiet spot, and we like it that way because we can focus on the actual farming work. Bulandshahr has a lot of good land, but doing everything alone is tough. So, a few of us got together and registered this company. It sounds official, but we’re just the same people who have been farming these fields for years. Gaili Singh handles a lot of the day-to-day stuff at the address in Chaudhera Sor. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably just find us drinking tea and talking about the harvest. We named it after our area because we’re proud of where we’re from. There are no polished speeches here. We just want to get decent prices for what we grow and share the costs of things like seeds and equipment. Sometimes the paperwork is a headache, but it is worth it to stay organized. Being part of a group makes the hard days in the sun a bit more manageable. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make life in Bulandshahr a little bit better for our families and the other farmers around us. It is just local people helping each other out in the village.
