We are located at house number 282 in the village of Tarahpur Maiduakbarpur. It is out in Kanpur Dehat, postcode 209101. Bhole Oil Manufacture Private Limited is what we call the business, but mostly we are just busy with the machines and the seeds. Making oil is a noisy, messy job, and there is always a strong smell of pressed seeds in the air. It’s what we do every single day. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of people. It’s more of a local setup where we know our neighbors and they know us well. Sometimes the power goes out and everything stops for a while, which is frustrating, but you get used to it. We spend a lot of time maintaining the equipment because if something breaks, it takes a long time to get parts out here. The roads aren't the best, so getting supplies in and out is always a bit of a challenge for the drivers. We just keep at it because it’s the work we know and it keeps us busy. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters for us. If you come by the village, you'll probably find us near the presses or checking the containers. It’s simple work, really. Just turning what grows in the fields into something people can use in their kitchens. We don't try to be anything we're not. We just keep the production moving.
