Aarti Metallographics

We are tucked away in Panda Colony, specifically at 2 Lane near the engineering school in Berhampur. It’s a quiet spot, which is good for the kind of work we do. Being so close to the school means we see a lot of students walking by, but mostly we are busy inside with our equipment. Aarti Metallographics is basically a small workshop setup. We do a lot of testing and looking at metals. The space belongs to Dr. R. P. Panda’s area, so everyone around here knows the spot. Ganjam has its own rhythm, and we follow it. Some mornings the humidity is really high, and we have to be careful with the machines. It isn't a huge factory or anything like that. It's more of a focused place where we get our hands dirty and then spend hours looking at samples. The walls are a bit plain, and maybe they need a new coat of paint soon. We keep the tools organized, though things get messy when we have a big project. We don't have a receptionist, so if you come by, you might have to shout over the sound of the grinder to get someone's attention. It’s practical work. We’ve been in Orissa for a while now and we know the local suppliers. It’s a steady life here in the colony, just doing the technical stuff we know how to do.
