Photonics

We are based out of Sector-25 in the GIDC area, specifically at Plot B-5/1. If you’ve spent any time in this industrial zone, you know it’s mostly warehouses and small manufacturing units. Photonics is what we call ourselves. We do a lot of technical work here involving light and sensors, though most days it just looks like a lot of wires and metal parts scattered across the workbenches. It’s not a glamorous job. The floor is concrete and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we do. We have a small team here. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we assemble things or test out new components. The GIDC can be a bit dusty and loud with all the trucks moving around, but being in Sector-25 means we are close to other suppliers we need. We don't have a big marketing department or a polished showroom. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they need something specific made that they can't find elsewhere. It’s a steady pace of work. Some weeks are slower than others, but we always find something to tinker with. We’ve been at this plot for a good while now and we know the neighbors pretty well. It’s just a regular workplace where we get things done and head home when the shift is over. It works for us.
