Photonics Watertech Pvt Ltd is located over at B-5/1 in the GIDC Electronic Estate, Sector 25. If you’ve ever been to this part of the industrial estate, you know it’s a lot of similar-looking buildings and workshops. We focus on water technology, which basically means we spend our time around filters, pumps, and a lot of piping. It’s not the cleanest work, as there’s often water on the floor or grease on our hands. The building itself is a standard industrial unit. We have some heavy equipment and a lot of spare parts stored in the back. It gets quite noisy when the pumps are being tested, so we’ve learned to talk a bit louder. We aren't a big corporation with a fancy lobby. We have a small office area where we keep the records, but most of the action happens on the shop floor. We’ve been here for a good while and have seen the area change a bit. The people working here are just regular folks who know their way around a water system. We don't use any high-flown language about what we do. It’s just about making sure the systems work like they’re supposed to. We eat our lunch together and then get back to whatever project is on the bench. It’s a steady routine and we prefer it that way, just focusing on the technical side of things without any extra fuss.
