H.B. Gum Industries Pvt. Ltd.

H.B. Gum Industries Pvt. Ltd. is located right at Plot No. -11-B in the G.I.D.C. area. It’s an industrial plot, so it’s mostly warehouses and factories around us. We have a fairly large space because we need it for the processing and storage. The smell of the materials is something you get used to after a few days, but visitors always notice it. We have a small office near the gate where we handle the arrivals and departures. It’s nothing fancy, just some metal desks and a couple of old chairs for drivers to sit in while they wait. The main work happens in the back. We have a small crew that has been with us since we opened this unit. We don’t have a corporate headquarters in some big city; this is where everything happens. We spend our time monitoring the batches and checking the bags before they are loaded. Sometimes the machinery needs a bit of a kick to get started in the morning. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures. If someone wants to know about us, they usually just come by or call. It’s a lot of hard work and staying on top of the production schedule. The days are long, especially when we have big shipments going out, but that’s just the nature of the industry we are in.
