Deepkiran Foods

Out here at Deepkiran Foods, we are located in the Dantali Industrial Estate. Our unit is 2/228, which is just opposite the Belaview Farm House. To get here, you have to drive past Lapkaman Gam on the Fota-Vadsar Road. It’s a bit of a trek from the main city, but it’s quieter out this way which suits us fine for food production. We’ve got a decent setup here where we handle all the processing and packing. The air smells like whatever we are cooking that day, which usually isn't a bad thing. It's a hands-on kind of place. We spend a lot of time on the floor making sure the machines are running and the ingredients are fresh. Nobody wears suits here; we’re mostly in aprons or work clothes. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and get on with it. We started this because we knew a bit about the food business and had this space available. It’s grown a bit since the early days, but we still do things the same way. We don’t have fancy brochures or a PR person. If someone wants to know about us, they usually just come by or call the office. We're just regular people trying to make a living by making decent food products for the market. It's hard work, but it keeps us busy and we feel good about what we put in the boxes.
