Pioneer Glass Industries

You can find Pioneer Glass Industries at 10 Chandwar Gate. It’s a pretty recognizable spot if you’re in the neighborhood. We’ve been doing glass work here for quite a while. The building is old, and the walls are a bit stained, but it serves us well. We do a mix of everything. Some days it’s small mirrors, other days we’re prepping large glass panels for local construction. There’s always a lot of noise coming from the street, and the smell of the nearby market is always there. We have a small crew. Most of us have been working together for years, so we don't even have to talk much to get the job done. We just know the routine. The tools are a bit worn out, but they still cut straight, and that’s what matters. We keep a stack of old newspapers to wrap the smaller pieces for customers. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I guess. People stop by for a chat even when they don't need any glass. We don't mind. It makes the day go by faster. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside until it comes back on. It’s just part of life here at Chandwar Gate. I have lived in this area my whole life, so I know most of the families around here. When it rains, the water pools up near the entrance and we have to put out some planks. We are just a glass shop trying to stay busy.
