Srsingh Inter College Babuganj Kanauj Kala

This inter college is located out in Pali, which is a bit of a distance from the main city of Allahabad. It’s a quiet area mostly, surrounded by fields and small houses. The building itself is quite simple, just brick and mortar with some paint that’s seen better days. We have students coming in from Babuganj and other nearby villages, often walking or riding their cycles through the dusty roads to get here in time for the morning bell. Inside, you’ll find high ceilings and those old wooden benches that have been around for a long time. There is no air conditioning, just big windows that we leave open so the breeze comes through during the summers. The teachers here are locals too, so they understand the struggles the kids face with their families or farm work. It is a very basic setup, we have blackboards and chalk, and the office is usually piled high with registers and paper files. There isn't any fancy technology or big screens. We focus on the basics of the curriculum and try to make sure the kids pass their exams so they can do something better later on. Life moves a bit slower in this part of Allahabad. Everyone knows everyone else, so if a student skips class, their parents usually find out before the day is over. It’s just a regular village school doing its part for the local community without any fuss.
