C R M Girls I College is tucked away in Shaktipuram Mailahan, which is part of the Phulpur area near Allahabad. It’s a bit of a trek for some of the girls who come from the surrounding villages, but they make it here every day. We are just a local college for girls, focusing on the basic subjects and getting through the syllabus. The atmosphere around here is quite different from the main city; it feels more like the countryside. We have a simple campus with a few trees and the classrooms are basic. We don’t have much in the way of high-tech gadgets, but we have enough benches and blackboards to get the job done. The teachers are mostly local people who understand what life is like in 212402. We spend our days marking attendance, giving out assignments, and making sure the exams are conducted properly. It gets dusty during the dry months and a bit muddy when it rains, but the girls still show up. It’s a place where they can study and talk with their friends without too much fuss. We don't put on any airs about being special. It’s just a place for learning in a quiet corner of Phulpur. Every year a new batch comes in and an old one leaves, and that’s how the cycle goes here. We just keep the doors open and the lessons going as well as we can. It's what we do.
