Our place is on the second floor of Plot No- 29 in Bhoor Colony. It is right in the middle of Old Faridabad, specifically Sector 29. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Mbm School. You can always hear the kids shouting and playing during their recess time, which lets us know it’s about noon. Being on the second floor means we have to carry everything up and down the stairs, which keeps us pretty tired by the end of the week. The workspace is where we handle the food processing. We try to keep it as clean as possible, so there are always mops and buckets around. It is a bit of a tight squeeze with the machines and the packing tables all in one big room. The windows look out over the rooftops of the colony. It is a lot of houses and small shops as far as you can see. We have a small corner for the staff to sit and eat their lunch. Most of us bring tiffins from home and share whatever was cooked that morning. The air smells like whatever we are processing that day, sometimes grainy, sometimes spicy. It is a lot of manual work, checking labels and making sure the bags are sealed right. Sector 29 is a busy part of town, so there is always some noise from the street below, mostly scooters and people shouting for the vegetable sellers.
