The Spicy Planet

If you go to the Centre Point Mall in NIT, Faridabad - 121001 NIT, you’ll find us at Shop Number 17. The Spicy Planet has been here for a bit now. Being in a mall is different from being on a regular street. There is always that hum of the air conditioning and the sound of people walking on the tiled floors outside. We spend a lot of time just looking out the front window at the shoppers going by. Our shop isn't the biggest one in the mall, but we make the most of the space we have. We have some shelves that we put up ourselves, and they aren't perfectly straight, but they hold everything we need. Most of our day is spent checking the stock and talking to the other shop owners nearby. We all sort of know each other in this section of the mall. Sometimes the mall gets really crowded on weekends, and it feels like everyone in Faridabad decided to show up at once. On those days, we are kept pretty busy just keeping up with things. Other times, like a Tuesday morning, it is very quiet and we just sit and drink tea while waiting for the first person to walk in. We don't have a fancy marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us here in Shop 17, trying to do a decent job every day and making sure the place stays clean for whoever decided to stop by.
