Uk Modi Group Company, which is also Barcode India Pvt Ltd, operates out of House No: 330 in Sector 16, Faridabad. Being in Haryana gives us a bit of a different pace than being right in the middle of Delhi. The office is basically a large house that’s been set up for business. Sector 16 is a pretty decent area, and House No: 330 is easy enough to find once you know the turns. Inside, the rooms are filled with desks and equipment. We do a lot of our work from here, dealing with barcodes and the other group tasks. It’s a bit informal because of the house setting. We might be sitting in what used to be a living room while we track shipments or talk to clients. The backyard area is where some of us go to get a bit of fresh air during the day. It’s quiet compared to the main roads. We don’t have a flashy sign out front, just the house number. The staff here is mostly local, so we talk about the neighborhood and the traffic on the way in. We handle a lot of technical stuff, so there are usually wires and gadgets laying around on the workbenches. It feels very much like a family-run operation even though it’s part of a bigger group. We just focus on the job at hand and keep things running smoothly from our base here in Faridabad.
