S S Power Control

Our workshop is at Plot No. 2 in Mujessar. We are right across the road from Porritts & Spencer, so that’s the easiest way to find us if you are visiting. We work on power control systems, which basically means a lot of electrical panels, wiring, and heavy switches. The shop floor is usually covered in copper bits and wire strippers. It’s a loud place when the guys are punching holes in the metal cabinets. We’ve been here in Mujessar for quite a while now. The area is very industrial, so there’s always a truck blocking the driveway or someone delivering steel. We have a small office upstairs where we do the drawings and the billing, but it’s usually more comfortable down on the floor where the real work happens. It’s not a polished business. We have old metal chairs and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. But we know how to wire a panel so it doesn't fail. When the power goes out in the neighborhood, we are usually the ones people call for help. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused, especially during the long shifts. There’s no big philosophy here; we just build the controls and make sure they work before they go out the door. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night. We just keep our heads down and get through the pile of orders we have.
