Silk And Shine Beauty Parlour

You can find our parlour in the basement of 304 Ashoka Enclave here in Faridabad. We are quite close to the Ashok Memorial School. We hear the school bells and the kids playing at certain times of the day. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler than being right out on the street. That is nice during the Faridabad summers. We have set up the space to be functional and comfortable for the women who come by. It isn't a huge place. It has everything we need to do our work though, like threading, hair styling, and facials. We spend a good chunk of our morning just getting things organized. We make sure the towels are fresh and ready. It is a quiet kind of life down here, away from some of the main road noise. Most of the people who come in are moms from the school or people who live right here in Ashoka Enclave. We like the regular rhythm of the day. It is nice getting to know the people who live nearby. Sometimes we have a lot of people waiting. Other times it is just us, sitting and waiting for the next person to knock. We don't use any fancy talk. We just do the work as best as we can with the tools we have. It’s a simple business, run by people who just want to do a decent job for their local neighbors.
