People around Baniya Wada know where we are. Our shop is right on Jain Street, tucked away where everyone walks by for their daily things. It gets pretty cramped inside when we have a few customers at once. Usually, there’s a smell of hair products and maybe some incense in the corner. We spend most of the day doing threading or fixing someone’s hair for a wedding. It’s a local place where neighbors come to catch up on talk while getting their nails done. The chairs aren't the newest, but they are comfortable enough for a quick sit. My sister and I handle most of the work ourselves. Sometimes it’s quiet, and other times we can’t even find a minute to drink tea. We’ve got shelves filled with different creams and colors that we’ve picked out over the months. The lighting isn't perfect for photos, but it works for what we do. It’s just a small parlor where we try to do a decent job for the ladies who live nearby. You might miss the door if you aren't looking closely, but once you're in, it's a friendly spot. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights outside. Just a simple board with the name. It’s a lot of standing on our feet all day, but seeing the regulars come back makes it feel like a real community spot in the middle of the street. It is a humble place, and we like keeping it that way for everyone.
