Payal Saloon

We have been running Payal Saloon here in Market-5 of Nit, Faridabad for a good number of years now. The shop is located at 5C-48 and it is pretty easy to find if you are near Bagga Emporium. It is just a small, local place where we spend most of our day. Every morning we come in, roll up the shutters, and start by cleaning the mirrors and sweeping the hair off the floor from the night before. The street outside gets quite loud with all the traffic and people shopping in the market, but inside it is mostly just the sound of scissors and the fan humming. We have a few old chairs that have seen better days but they are comfortable enough for a quick haircut. Sometimes the tea man from the corner brings us some chai and we sit for a minute when it is quiet. Most of our customers are people who live right here in the neighborhood. They come in to talk about the local news or just to get a shave before heading to work. We don't have any fancy decorations or big bright lights. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint but it doesn't really matter much to the people who come here. We just try to keep things simple and do the work honestly. If the weather is too hot, the small cooler we have struggles a bit, but we manage. It is just a regular life here.
