Ordinal Dance Academy

If you go down Old Shershah Suri Marg in Faridabad, you’ll find us at 20/1. We are Ordinal Dance Academy. It’s not a huge studio, but it has enough room for us to move around. The floors are worn down from all the practice, which we think is a good sign. We started this place because we just wanted a spot for people to come and learn some steps. It’s located in the N I T area, which is always full of people and noise. Sometimes the music from the studio blends in with the sounds from the street outside. We have a few mirrors on the walls and a sound system that’s seen better days but still works okay. It’s a very casual place. There aren’t any fancy uniforms or strict rules, just people showing up to dance. We spend a lot of time sweeping the floor because of all the dust that comes in from the road. The kids from the neighborhood come by in the evenings, and that’s when it gets really loud and fun. We’ve been at this location for a while now and everyone on the street knows who we are. It’s not about being the best or winning awards, it’s just about having a space to dance. We’re glad to be a part of the Faridabad community. People often peek through the windows when they hear the music playing late into the evening and it feels like we are part of the neighborhood.
