Golden Strings

We are located in Sector 1, NIT, not too far from the Fortis Hospital. It’s a decent spot, though finding parking can be a bit of a headache during certain times of the day. Golden Strings is what we call our little operation here. We handle a lot of different things, mostly involving music and instruments. Sometimes it gets quite loud when people are testing things out, but that’s just part of the atmosphere. The walls have various things hanging on them, and there’s usually a bit of dust on the higher shelves that we forget to clean. We aren’t a big chain store or anything like that. It’s just a few of us who know a thing or two about strings and sound. People come in with broken instruments or just looking for something new to play. We spend a lot of time just chatting with people who stop by. You get to meet all kinds of characters in this business. Some know exactly what they want, and others are just starting out. We try to be helpful without being pushy. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first set up shop near the hospital, but we’re still here. It’s a bit of a walk from the main gate, but most people find their way eventually. We just keep doing what we do. It’s simple enough for us and we like the crowd that comes in.
