Mithla Hair Saloon

Our shop, Mithla Hair Saloon, is Shop No. 10 near the DLF area in Spring Field Colony, Faridabad. This is in Sector 33, which is a place where a lot of families live. I come in early every morning to get things ready before the first person shows up. The mirrors are the first thing I clean because they get streaks on them so easily. We have a few chairs for the customers and a small bench for those who are waiting. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main city, but we still get plenty of people coming through. The shop is filled with the smell of aftershave and hair spray most of the time. We have an old television in the corner that we keep on for the news or some cricket if there's a match playing. Most of the people who come here are from the colony, so we see the same faces every couple of weeks. It’s a small operation, just me and another guy helping out when it gets busy. We don't do anything very fancy, just standard cuts and shaves. The floor needs a lot of sweeping because the hair piles up fast on the tiles. By the time the sun goes down over Faridabad, we are usually finishing up the last few customers. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy and we like the people around here.
