Mallan Rice Mills

We started Mallan Rice Mills a while back and we are still here on Ballamgarh Road. Most people know the place through Niranjan Dass & Sons, as that is how things are set up here. It is just a regular rice mill where we deal with the crop that comes in from the local fields. The machines are old but they still do the job of cleaning and sorting the rice just fine. It is loud in the mill and dusty, but that is how it goes when you are working with grain all day. We spend a lot of time checking the bags and making sure the paddy is dried properly before it goes into the huller. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to get things done on time, but we manage. My family has been around this area for a long time, so we know most of the farmers who bring their harvest to us. We don't have a big office or anything fancy like that. There is just a small desk where we keep the books and handle the paperwork. You can usually find someone around the yard moving sacks or talking to the truck drivers. It is simple work, really. We just try to keep the mill running and make sure the rice is ready when people need it. It is not always easy with the electricity cuts and the heat, but we have been doing this long enough to know how to handle the small problems that pop up every day. We just keep going.
