Halestein Foodlabs Llp

You can find us over at the Manav Rachna International Institute in Sector 43, Faridabad. We are part of the New Gen Iedc there. Being in a university setting means there is always a lot of energy around, though we are mostly tucked away in our lab space. Halestein Foodlabs is where we spend our hours experimenting with different food ideas. It’s not a shiny, perfect laboratory like you see in movies. It’s a working space with bags of ingredients, glass jars, and plenty of notes scribbled on napkins. We are just a small group of people who enjoy the science side of what people eat. Faridabad can be a bit dusty, and the commute to Sector 43 is often a struggle with the local traffic. Once we are inside, though, we just focus on the work. We don't have a lot of fancy titles. Everyone does a bit of everything, whether it’s cleaning the equipment or writing up reports. Sometimes an experiment doesn't go as planned and we have to toss the whole batch out. That’s just part of the process for us. We don't have a corporate board to answer to, just our own standards. We usually have lunch at the campus canteen with the students. It keeps us feeling young, I suppose. It’s a simple life of trial and error in our little corner of the institute. We just keep plugging away at our food research one day at a time.
