You can find us out at the 14/7 Mile Stone on Mathura Road. It is a busy stretch of road with a lot of heavy trucks passing by all day and night. The building isn't anything special to look at from the outside. Inside, we are mostly focused on the food side of things. There is always a smell of something being processed or packed. It is a bit loud because of the machinery and the traffic noise from the highway. We have been here for a while and have seen the road change quite a bit over the years. The staff usually brings their own lunch and we eat together in the small break area. We spend a lot of time checking batches and making sure the crates are stacked properly. It is physical work and we are often on our feet for most of the shift. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into the front office, so we are always cleaning the glass. It is a straightforward operation without any big corporate frills. We have a yard where the trucks pull in to load up. It gets quite muddy when it rains, which is a bit of a mess to clean up. But we just get on with it. We are just a group of people making sure the food products get out the door on time every day. It's not a glamorous job, especially with all the dust from Mathura Road, but it pays the bills. We have a small office near the front where we keep the records, though the chairs are getting a bit old.
