Our workplace is at 6 IDC in the Gurukul Industrial Area, near Sarai Khwaja. We are right in the middle of a lot of other engineering firms. Food & Biotech Engineers (I) Pvt. Ltd. has been operating from this site for a good number of years now. It’s an industrial setting, so don't expect anything too polished. We have a lot of heavy equipment and steel lying around because that is what we work with. Most of our day involves technical drawings and fabrication. It’s precise work, but the environment is pretty rugged. The office part of the building is just a few desks where we handle the orders and the engineering specs. We aren't big on meetings that don't go anywhere. We’d rather be out on the floor seeing how the builds are progressing. The area around Amar Nagar can be a bit crowded, especially when the shifts change and everyone is heading home at once. We’ve had to deal with the usual issues like leaky roofs during monsoon or the heat in the summer, but we stay focused on the engineering. It is a practical business. We build stuff for the food and biotech industries, and that requires us to be careful and thorough. We don't use fancy talk. We just show the work we've done and let that be it. It is just a group of us who know our way around a workshop. We tend to finish up late when a project is due.
