Face One Mens Saloon is located in the basement of building 165, Scf, in the Sector 9 Hudda Market of Faridabad. Being in a basement means we are tucked away from the main heat of the sun, which is nice during the peak of summer. The Hudda Market is a very popular spot in Sector 9, so there is always a lot of activity upstairs. You have to walk down a short flight of stairs to get to us. The shop has a very masculine feel with dark tiles and standard barber chairs. We have a big container of blue aftershave that everyone seems to like the smell of. Most of our clients are men from the local area who have been coming to this market for years. We see a lot of fathers bringing their sons in for their first haircuts. The lighting is all fluorescent, which makes everything look very bright and clear. We keep the radio tuned to a local station that plays a mix of music and talk shows. It can get a bit dusty down here because of the market traffic above, so we are constantly cleaning the glass and the counters. It’s a straightforward shop where you can get a shave or a haircut without any trouble. We like being in this part of Faridabad because the people are friendly and it feels like a real community. We stay open until the market starts to quiet down at night and the lights go off.
