Elisha Beauty Parlour

Our place is called Elisha Beauty Parlour. It’s located at House No 1122 in the Housing Board Colony, Sector 62, Faridabad. Since it’s in a house, it has a very different feel than a shop in a mall. It feels more like visiting a neighbor. I set it up this way because it’s comfortable. Sector 62 is a quiet residential area, which I like. You don’t have all that city noise here. I spend my days waiting for the ladies from the colony to drop by. Sometimes they call ahead, sometimes they just knock. The room we use is fixed up with mirrors and the right chairs. It’s a cozy space. I do a lot of threading and hair cuts. Faridabad is growing so much, but this little corner feels the same as it always has. I keep a pot of tea going most of the time. The curtains are usually drawn to keep it private inside. It’s a simple setup. I don't have a big staff, it's mostly just me doing the work. I’ve decorated it with some pictures and small things I like. It’s not corporate at all. It’s just a local beauty spot in House 1122. People come here because they know me and they know I’ll take my time. It’s a nice way to spend the day, talking and working in the colony. We usually wrap things up by seven or eight in the evening.
