Devendra Hair Saloon

If you are walking down Bunty Wali Gali in Sector 35, you will find Devendra Hair Saloon at Shop No-32. We are right near Agrawal Sweets, which is a bit of a problem because the smell of samosas is always drifting in. It’s a busy little lane in Faridabad and there is always something going on outside. The saloon is a small place, just enough room for the barbers and the customers. We have the usual chairs and some old pictures on the wall. We do mostly men’s hair and shaves. It gets very busy in the mornings before people go to work and again in the evenings. We try to work fast so nobody has to wait too long out on the street. The benches inside are usually full of people reading the paper or looking at their phones. We use simple tools and keep everything sharp and clean. Being next to the sweets shop means we get a lot of foot traffic. Sometimes people come in for a shave while their order is being packed next door. We’ve seen the sector change a lot over the years, but the shop stays mostly the same. It’s a honest way to make a living. We don't have air conditioning, just some good fans that we keep running. It is a loud, lively place to work every day and we like it that way.
