Chottu Saloon

We are tucked away in Shop 45 over in Titu Colony. If you know where Sai Mandir is, you basically know where we are because it's just a short walk from there. It is a small place, nothing like those big salons you see in the malls. We have been here in Faridabad for a while now. The shop usually stays busy on weekends when everyone is off work, but during the week, it is mostly just the regulars popping in for a quick trim or a shave. My chairs have seen a lot of use over the years, and the mirrors have a few smudges here and there, but that’s just how it goes. Some days the fan makes a bit of noise, but it keeps the air moving. We don't really do anything fancy here. It is just a place where you sit down, get your hair cut, and maybe talk about the local news or the weather. People from the colony come by, and we know most of their names by now. Sometimes kids come in for their first haircut and they cry a bit, which is normal. We keep a few old magazines around, though most people just look at their phones these days. It is a simple life here in the shop. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first person to walk through the door. That is pretty much it for us.
