Apsara Hair Style Saloon

Apsara Hair Style Saloon has been on Samaipur Road in Ballabhgarh for a long time. We are tucked in near the Axis Bank ATM, so we see a lot of people coming and going to get their cash. Faridabad is a busy place and this road stays crowded. Our shop is pretty basic. We have the old-style barber chairs and a row of mirrors that have a few scratches on the frames. It doesn't matter much because the reflection is clear enough. Men from the area come in for their weekly shave or a haircut before they go to work. We talk about the weather or the traffic on Samaipur Road. It gets hot in the summer, so the ceiling fans stay on full speed all day. We keep a stack of old newspapers for people who are waiting their turn. The floor is just tile, and we sweep up the hair every hour or so. We don't have a receptionist or a computer system. We just remember who is next in line. It is a small space, but we make it work. Sometimes the music is playing on a small radio in the corner, just some old songs. People know where we are because we’ve been here so long. It is a simple life running a saloon in Ballabhgarh. We just focus on the hair and the shaves and people leaving looking a bit better than when they came in.
