Acacia Beauty Parlour

Our little shop, Acacia Beauty Parlour, is tucked away in the basement of SCO 20 in the Huda Market. It is right in Sector 16 of Faridabad, not too far from the Ashirwad Banquet Hall. Being in a basement means it stays a bit quieter than the shops upstairs on the main street level. We have been at Shop No 11 for some time now. It’s a place where women from the neighborhood come to get their eyebrows done or maybe a hair wash. We aren’t trying to be a high-end spa with scented candles everywhere. It’s more of a practical space with a few mirrors and a couple of styling chairs. The lighting is bright so we can see what we are doing with the threading. We talk about local things, like what’s happening at the market or the weather. Sometimes customers bring their kids along and they sit on the small bench while their moms finish up. It can get a bit crowded on Saturday afternoons, especially when there is a wedding at the banquet hall nearby. We do our best to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. The floor is tiled and we mop it every morning to keep the dust away. It’s just a basic local parlour run by people who live nearby. We know most of our regulars by name now, and they know us just as well.
