A N Saloon

A N Saloon is down at Shop 1 on Tigaon Road in Faridabad. We are pretty close to the Sai Dham Mandir, which is a big landmark around here. If you find the temple, you’re basically there. The shop is right on the main road, so it’s easy to see when you’re driving or walking by. It’s a straightforward saloon. We have the usual barber chairs and a few benches for people waiting their turn. Tigaon Road is always busy with people going to work or the temple. I like being here because there is always something to look at outside. The shop isn't fancy. I have a few old posters on the wall and the floor is tile. I spend a lot of time cleaning the combs and making sure the razors are ready. It’s a man’s world in here mostly. We talk about the local news or whatever is happening in Faridabad. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded on Sunday mornings when everyone wants to look good for the week. I’ve been working at Shop 1 for a while. It’s a small space, but we make it work. The fan hums all day long. It’s just a normal place where you can get a shave and a cut without any fuss. No fancy coffee or expensive music, just the sounds of the road and the clink of scissors. We keep the doors open for the breeze when it's cool out.
