Snr School

We’ve been here at Sathyamangalam for a long while now. The school is right on No 111/1 and it’s a pretty quiet spot in Erode most of the time. Every single morning, we open up the main gates and wait for the kids to start arriving. It gets busy very quickly with all the bicycles and parents dropping off their children. We have teachers who have lived in this exact area for many years. Some of them even walk to work because they live just a few streets away. We just try to keep things running smoothly and follow the schedule. The classrooms are very basic, with just the usual desks and blackboards, but they do the job for us. Sometimes the weather in Erode gets incredibly hot, so we have to make sure the ceiling fans are all working properly. We spend a lot of our time on daily paperwork and making sure the children are in their classrooms when they should be. It isn’t a fancy place at all. We don’t have any big billboards or flashy signs out front. Most people in this neighborhood already know exactly where we are located. We have seen many different families grow up around here over the years. Some of the parents who bring their kids here today used to be students in these same rooms themselves. That is just how it goes in a small place like Sathyamangalam. We deal with the usual stuff like broken furniture or leaky taps. It’s just daily life here.
