Our school is situated on Erode Main Road in Ariyappampalayam, near Sathyamangalam. It is a nice enough spot, though the main road keeps us on our toes with all the traffic passing by. We serve the families living around the Sathyamangalam area. The building is a decent size and we have enough room for the different grades to have their own dedicated space. We have a group of teachers who work hard, even if we do not always have the latest technology or gadgets. We use chalkboards and textbooks mostly. The kids come in from the nearby villages and towns, some by bus and some walking. During the rainy season, the yard gets a bit messy, but that is just life in this part of the country. We try to keep the place tidy and the students focused on their daily lessons. It is a lot of routine—assembly in the morning, classes, lunch, and then more classes until it is time to go home. We have some trees on the property that provide a bit of shade when it gets really hot outside. Parents often stop by the gate to check on things or drop off a lunch box that was left behind. We are just a local school trying to do a good job for the kids in Ariyappampalayam. There is no grand philosophy here, just the daily effort of teaching and learning. It is a steady life. (259 words)
