Paranthaman Exporters

Working out of the M-8 spot in the Special Economic Zone at Sidco Perunthurai gives us a bit of a different perspective. It’s very industrial out here, surrounded by other companies and factories. Paranthaman Exporters has been operating from this unit for a while now. Since we are in the SEZ, there are a lot of rules and gates to go through, which makes everything feel very official. But inside our own space, it’s just us. We focus on getting goods ready for the international market. The heat in Perunthurai can be quite something in the summer, especially inside a warehouse, so we keep the fans going all day long. We aren't a corporate giant with a thousand employees. We’re a tight-knit team and we all pitch in with whatever needs doing, whether it’s checking a manifest or helping load a truck. The concrete floors and metal roofing are standard for this area. We don't have a lobby with a receptionist; you just walk in and find whoever isn't busy. We don’t spend time on promotional speeches or trying to sound like something we aren't. We’re just here to facilitate trade and make sure our exports get where they’re supposed to go. It’s a lot of routine work, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a big shipment finally leave the zone. It’s what we do every day, and we’ve gotten pretty good at the rhythm of it.
