Easwar Exports

Easwar Exports is located at 74 Ayepalayam, right near the Kurumandur post office. It is a very quiet and peaceful place, located far away from the noise of the big cities like Chennai. Most of the people living around here are involved in farming or other local trades. We decided to set up our business here because it’s where we grew up and where we live. The office is really just a simple room attached to the side of our main storage area. We spend most of our days talking to local producers to get their goods sent out to other towns and states. It’s not always a smooth process because the transport trucks don't always show up when they say they will, or a sudden storm messes up the schedule. But we always find a way to make it work. It’s just a few of us here. We know almost everyone who walks past our gate during the day. There is no big corporate strategy or five-year plan. We just buy what looks good and try to find a buyer who wants it. The building itself is very plain, just some concrete walls and a tin roof that makes a lot of noise when the rain hits it. We keep a physical ledger for everything, mostly because writing things down by hand feels more reliable to us than a computer. Sometimes we sit outside under the big tree when the sun gets too hot in the office. It’s a slow pace of life, but the work is constant.
