Alif Exports operates out of No. 5 Kamatchiamman Kovil Lane in the Karungal Palayam area. It’s a bit tucked away in the lane, which is actually nice because it’s a little quieter than the main roads nearby. We focus on getting goods ready for export, which involves a lot of packing and checking quality. The workspace is simple and functional. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we’d rather just focus on the actual work. Our team is small, mostly just local people who know how to get things done without making a fuss. Every morning starts with a list of what needs to go out and which containers are arriving at the yard. We spend a lot of time on the phone with transporters. Karungal Palayam has its own rhythm, and we’ve become part of that over the years. We handle all sorts of products, whatever the current demand is. Sometimes the lane gets a bit tight for bigger vehicles, so we have to be careful with the timing of our pickups. It's not a glamorous job, but it's what we know. We deal with a lot of paperwork and customs regulations, which can be a headache sometimes, but we just push through it. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just a reliable place where work gets handled properly every day. It is mostly about getting the containers filled and shipped on time.
