We are over here in Eswarachettipalayam, just a bit past the main road in Kundadam. The workshop stays pretty busy most days with all the metal scraps and machines we have running. It’s not a quiet place, that’s for sure. Most of the guys live nearby in Sadayapalayam, so they just walk or bike in. We do a lot of different engineering jobs, mostly fixing stuff that breaks or making new bits for local projects. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or oil, but we try to keep the tools where they belong. It gets really hot under the tin roof around noon, so we usually take a longer break then. There is a small tea shop down the road where we go. We don’t really do anything fancy here, just practical work that needs doing. Sometimes a customer brings in something really old and asks if we can make it work again. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints or just scratching our heads over a difficult piece of iron. The address is 14/8, and we’ve been at this spot for a good while. It’s a simple setup. We have the lathes and the welding gear in the back section. If you come by, you’ll probably hear the grinding noise before you even see the sign. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people trying to do a decent job every day. There is always a pile of scrap metal by the door that we need to sort through when things slow down.
