Neela Engineering Works

Neela Engineering Works is tucked away in Thoppampalayam, which is near Bhavanisagar. If you’re coming from Erode, you know it’s a bit of a drive through the greenery. We’ve been set up at 1/53 for a good while. Our workshop isn't very large, but we have enough space to handle the engineering jobs that come our way. Most of the time, it’s just the sound of hammers and the smell of grease around here. We deal with a lot of local folks who need repairs or custom parts for their machines. It's the kind of place where you can just drop by and see what we're working on. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just take that time to sharpen our tools or clean up the floor. We don’t bother with big advertisements or anything like that because word of mouth in the village is enough for us. The guys working here are all local and they know their way around an engine or a lathe. It’s honest work, and it keeps us occupied from morning until the sun goes down. We like being part of the community here. It’s quiet at night, which is a nice change from the noisy day. Just a small shop doing its thing in Tamil Nadu. We keep a stash of biscuits for the workers' afternoon tea, which is usually the highlight of the day. It is a good, steady life for us all.
