If you come down Nasianoor Main Road, you’ll find us at 137/2 in the Narayana Valasu area. Sri Udayam Engineering Works has been sitting here for quite a bit, right where the noise of the road never really stops. It’s a workshop, so you can expect a lot of grease, metal scraps, and the sound of machines running all day long. It isn’t the cleanest place you’ll ever visit, but we know exactly where every tool is kept on the wall. Most days start with a list of jobs that need finishing, and usually, something else comes in that’s more urgent. We don’t have a big front office or a fancy receptionist; usually, you just walk in and find whoever isn't busy with a lathe or a drill. We’ve had the same neighbors for years, and we all kind of look out for each other on this stretch. The heat in the afternoon can get pretty bad under the tin roof, so we take things a bit slower then, maybe grab a cold drink from the shop next door. It’s honest work, mostly fixing parts or making things to order for local folks and other businesses nearby. We don’t go in for big advertisements or anything like that. People just know where we are when their machinery breaks down. It’s a simple setup, but it gets the job done without any extra fuss. We’ve got piles of old parts in the corner and tools that have been used thousands of times. It’s just how we operate every day.
