A. P. Engineers

We are located at Plot No-C-2 in the Sipcot Industrial Growth Centre. Being in Perundurai, Erode, means we are right in the heart of a lot of manufacturing. A. P. Engineers is basically a big shed where we do a lot of mechanical work and fabrication. The Tamil Nadu heat can be tough, especially when we are working with metal all day, but we are used to it by now. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and there is always the smell of oil and welding in the air. We have a few big machines that take up most of the space, and we spend our time making sure they are running right. It is not the kind of place where you would wear a suit. We are usually in greasy clothes and heavy boots. Most of our day is spent looking at drawings or fixing parts that have come in. The Sipcot area is quite large, so there is always a lot of truck traffic coming and going. We have our small tea breaks under the shade when we can, and then it is back to the lathes or the welding bench. We do not do much advertising; people just know we are here at C-2 if they need something made or repaired. It is a basic, hardworking setup and we like keeping things straightforward. We have been part of the Erode industrial scene for years.
