Marine Bio Products

Our place, Marine Bio Products, is over at 95-C in the Cooperative Colony area of Rayapalayam Pudur-Iii, which is near Chithode. It is a quiet enough spot, but we stay busy with all the stuff coming in and going out. Dealing with marine-based materials means there is often a specific kind of smell around the building, something you just get used to after a few days of working here. The office is tucked away in the colony, so it feels a bit more like a neighborhood than a big industrial zone. We have stacks of bags and containers that need moving around, and the rooms are often filled with the sound of packing tape and people checking inventory lists. Chithode has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of it. The weather can get sticky, which affects how we handle some of the products, so we are always keeping an eye on that. We use simple tools and mostly rely on manual labor to get things sorted and ready for transport. There is nothing very high-tech about how we run things day to day. We just make sure the records are written down correctly and that nothing sits on the shelf for too long. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting things and organizing the storage space so we can actually find what we need when a truck arrives. Sometimes it feels like we are running out of space, but we manage to make it work.
