Kumar Blue Metal

Kumar Blue Metal is situated out on Hospital Road in Uthukuli. We are at number 477. If you know Karatupalayam, you know this road gets a fair bit of traffic because of the hospital. Our day usually starts pretty early because that is when the trucks start moving. Blue metal isn't the cleanest business to be in. There is always a bit of dust in the air and the sound of gravel shifting. We spend most of our time coordinating where the next load is going. The yard is big enough to handle the piles of stone, and we are usually out there more than we are in the small office area. Uthukuli is a decent place to work, though the road can get a bit clogged up at times. We have been at this Hospital Road spot for a while now. It is a very straightforward operation. We do not have any big signs or anything too flashy. People just know we are here at 477. It is physical work and it can be tiring when the sun is out, but we just get on with it. Kumar Blue Metal is basically just about getting the stone to where it needs to go. We see the same drivers and neighbors every day. It is a local life, and we don't really change much about how we do things. We just keep the gravel moving to wherever it is needed.
