Our place, New Vasantham Steels, is located at 150 Perundurai Road in Pavalatham Palayam. It’s a busy road so there’s always trucks coming and going. We deal with all kinds of steel supplies. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy stuff around. The yard can get a bit messy, especially when we get a big delivery in. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the area grow. Most of the guys working here have been with us for years. We aren't some big corporate office; it's mostly just dusty boots and hard work. When you come by, you’ll probably see us checking inventory or loading up a trailer. Steel isn't the easiest thing to handle, but we've got the hang of it after all this time. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly just handling the physical stock. Sometimes the weather makes it tough, but the work has to get done anyway. People around Pavalatham Palayam know where we are. We don’t have a flashy showroom. Just a lot of steel and a small office where we keep the paperwork. It stays pretty loud with the metal clanging. We just focus on getting the right pieces to the right people. It's a straightforward business and we like it that way. No big speeches, just steel. We keep the gate open most of the day and just wait for the next shipment to arrive or leave. It is a noisy job, but it keeps us all going.
