Star Steel

We are located at 4/372 on the Erode Kokkarayanpettai Road. This spot is in Bharathi Nagar, part of the Pappampalayam area. It’s a bit out of the way, which is fine for a steel business because we need the space for the trucks and the heavy piles of metal. The yard is usually full of pipes and sheets, and it can get quite loud when we are loading or unloading things. The ground is mostly gravel and dirt, so it gets a bit muddy when it rains. We have a small office shed on the side where we keep the books and handle the visitors. It’s not a place where you’d find air conditioning or plush chairs. We spend most of the day outside or in the open-sided shed. The sun can be pretty harsh on the Erode Kokkarayanpettai Road, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early. We don't have any big advertisements up; people usually find us because they know the address or saw our trucks. It’s hard work handling steel all day, and we all go home pretty tired. We’ve been in Bharathi Nagar for quite some time and have seen the area change a bit, but our routine stays mostly the same. We just weigh the loads, cut the pieces to size, and make sure the deliveries are ready at Star Steel. It’s straightforward work without any complicated bells or whistles.
