Karur Blue Metal

Karur Blue Metal is over at 37 Bypass Road in Kodumudi. We’ve been here for a while now, right by the main road. The location is good because the trucks can get in and out pretty easy without getting stuck in the smaller village streets. We deal with blue metal all day, so the yard is always grey and dusty. It is loud work with the crushers going, but that is the sound of business for us. We don't have a big team, just a handful of us who know the machines. My shoes are always full of small stones by the time I go home. We don't really spend money on fancy signs or advertisements. People in Kodumudi just know we are here by the bypass. Sometimes the rain slows us down, making everything a bit muddy, but we push through it. It’s a simple setup with a small office and a lot of outdoor space for the piles. We mostly just keep to ourselves and focus on filling the lorries as they come in. There is no corporate ladder here, just people doing their jobs. If you pass by the bypass, you’ll probably see the dust rising from our site. It isn't glamorous, but it’s a living and we take it one day at a time. We are just a local operation doing our work on the edge of town.
