Erode Steel

Being near the airport means it’s always a bit noisy here. We are located at number 2, and you can see the planes taking off while we work. We handle steel, mostly construction stuff. It's a lot of loading and unloading. The yard is big enough for the trucks, but it gets tight when we have a lot of inventory. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or a big reception area. It's a workspace through and through. The sun hits the metal pretty hard in the middle of the day. We have a small crew. We’ve been working out of this spot for a good while. Most of the time, we are just busy counting bundles or checking the weights. It’s physical work and your hands get dirty pretty quick. We keep some tea stuff in the back for breaks. People usually find us because of the location near the airport gates. It's easy to describe where we are, at least. We don’t do much advertising. The steel speaks for itself, I guess. We just focus on keeping the piles organized so we can find what we need when someone asks. It's a simple business. We open early and stay until the last truck is gone. That’s how it goes every day here. Sometimes a traveler gets lost and wanders into our yard looking for the terminal. We just point them in the right direction. It's a bit dusty and there's not much shade, but it's a good place to work.
