Lotus 8 Apart. Hotels

Our place is located at Cheerakathil House in the village of Kurumasserry. It is right in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, which is a beautiful and green part of the country. We run the Lotus 8 Apart. Hotels business from this very house. It’s not your typical office setting with cubicles and bright fluorescent lights. Instead, we work from a family home that has been around for generations. We have converted a couple of the rooms into our workspace where we handle all the reservations and talk to our guests. Being in a small village means everyone knows each other, and the postman always knows exactly where to bring our letters. The air is fresh here, and we have a lot of coconut trees around the property that give us some nice shade during the hot afternoons. We don't have a big marketing department or a board of directors. It’s just us family members and a few local helpers making sure everything is taken care of. Sometimes the power goes out when there is a big storm, but we just light some lamps and keep going as best as we can. We take pride in the fact that we do things in a simple, traditional way. It’s a quiet life here in Kerala, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep our focus on the daily tasks.
