Harrisons Malayalam Limited (Tea Division)

We are over here on Willingdon Island, specifically at 24/1624 Bristow Road. This is the tea division side of things for Harrisons Malayalam Limited. It’s a pretty busy spot with all the transport going on around the island. Most of what we do involves the day-to-day handling of tea shipments and making sure things are moving where they need to go. We’ve been in this building for a long time. It isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where the work happens. Dealing with tea means there is always something to check on or a load to coordinate. The weather can get a bit humid out here by the water, which affects how we handle things, but we’re used to it. The staff here mostly just gets on with it. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy meetings or anything like that. If you walk in, you’ll probably see people busy with paperwork or talking to drivers. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the crates and bags moving through, but there is a system to it all. We’ve seen the island change quite a bit over the years, but our little corner on Bristow Road stays pretty much the same. It’s a steady kind of place. We focus on the tea and getting it out the door. It’s what we know best, and we’ve been doing it long enough that it feels like second nature now. Even the smell of the tea leaves is something we don't even notice anymore until a fresh batch comes in. We stay busy from morning until evening and that’s fine with us.
